The Journey

Elmo Francis grew up in Mount Lavinia in Sri Lanka fascinated by the mysteries of life beyond the confines of his home and familiar surroundings.

Reaching these locations was not easy, Elmo was forced to draw on every ounce of courage and perseverance he could muster as nature surely tested him. Despite his little knowledge he was able to gather to prepare for another expedition.

The meticulous planning and preparatory work that had taken two years to complete paid off in January 2006 when he reached Mt. Mera Peak 6654m Nepal Himalayas a snow storm put a stop to all teams attempting Mera peak that season and only five teams out of thirty five teams were successful and elmo’s was the last and successful.  A life changing experience for any person let alone one so young as Elmo.
